Boris begann das Schlagzeug im Alter von 4 Jahren. Er wurde sowohl im klassischen als auch im Popular-Schlagzeug unterrichtet. Seine professionelle Karriere begann er mit 19 Jahren, wo er mit verschiedenen Show- und Coverbands performte. Boris studierte Drums/Percussion und Musikpädagogik am Konservatorium Osnabrück und an der Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Hamburg und machte ein Zertifikat vom Berklee College of Music.

Als Session- und Theater-Schlagzeuger ist er bereits durch ganz Europa getourt. Er spielte Drums und Percussion in vielen erfolgreichen Musicals und begleitete viele bekannte nationale und internationale Künstler. Mit seinen neusten Projekten Funk Kombinat Kiel und The Noonday Dreams hat er gerade neue Alben herausgebracht

Boris ist Gastdozent am Drummers Institute in Düsseldorf. Er unterrichtet an der defdrums.drumschool in Hamburg und gibt auch Privatstunden. Wenn Boris nicht gerade Schlagzeug spielt, arbeitet er als Komponist und Produzent. Boris ist Endorser für Paiste, Pork Pie Drums, Protection Racket und Agner Drumsticks.

Personal Record

Born and raised in Germany Boris began playing drums in kindergarten at the age of 4. He was trained in classical as well as contemporary drumming and started his professionel career at the age of 19, when he was performing with several function- and cover- bands. Boris studied drums, percussion and music education at the Music Conservatory in Osnabrück and the College of Music and Performing Arts in Hamburg/Germany. He also completed a Certificate Course at Berklee College of Music.

Being both a session and theatre drummer his performances have carried him throughout Europe and the U.K. He..s been the drummer for many successful Musical Shows and accompanied lots of renowned national and international artists. With his late projects Funk Kombinat Kiel and The Noonday Dreams he has just released new albums.

Boris is a visiting tutor at the Drummer's Institute Dusseldorf, a resident tutor at DefDrums Drumschool/ Hamburg and runs his own private teaching practise.

If not busy playing drums Boris is working as an Composer and Producer.
